It is the policy of CORE Pipelines to:

1. establish a safe and healthy work environment;
   
2. provide an environment as free as is reasonably possible from fire and security loss;
   
3. ensure that design of the working environment considers individual employees' capabilities and limitation;
   
4. strive towards the elimination of personal injury, occupational illness and damage to company assets.

It is important that each Superintendent has a copy of CORE Pipelines written Health & Safety policy and program. The program shall provide assurance of compliance with applicable local, Provincial and Federal safety and health laws and regulations. The Superintendent and all Supervisors shall fully endorse the company policy.

CORE Pipelines, as an employer, is ultimately responsible for worker health and safety. Supervisors will be held accountable for the health and safety of workers under their supervision. They must ensure the safety of machinery and equipment and ensure that workers comply with established safe work practices and procedures. Workers must receive adequate training in their specific tasks and duties to protect their health and safety.

Every worker must protect his or her own health and safety by working in compliance with the law and with safe work practices and procedures established by the company.

It is in the best interest of all parties to consider health and safety in every activity. Commitment to health and safety must form an integral part of this organization, from the President to the workers.

Responsibility for effective implementation of the policy rest on the employees who must personally conduct themselves in a fashion which promotes safe conditions and actions. They must also accept responsibility for bringing to the attention of management, any condition and practice not in agreement with this policy.
